Rose, Tanith, Daras, Konstantinos and Barr, Benjamin (2021) Quality and Outcomes Framework Indicators: Chronic kidney disease prevalence (QOF_4_08). [Data Collection]
Description
Summary This indicator measures the percentage of patients aged 18 years or over with a diagnosis of chronic kidney disease. Numbers are given since 2007, across areas of England. Technical description The percentage of patients aged 18 years or over with a diagnosis of chronic kidney disease with classification categories G3a to G5 (previously US National Kidney Foundation stage 3 to 5). The denominator used to calculate the prevalence may include patients below the age of 18. GP practices reporting >30% chronic kidney disease prevalence are excluded from the calculation. QOF data by GP practice and year were provided by the data owners. These data were used to calculate weighted averages of the indicator by Lower Super Output Area (LSOA).
