Data supporting the peer reviewed article pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/jacs.6b11128, on the synthesis and characterisation of a new polar corundum, GaFeO3. The deposit includes both experimental data (neutron and X-ray powder diffraction; magnetisation; Mossbauer spectroscopy; magnetoelectric coupling; electrical resistivity and dielectric measurements), and computational data (DFT).
