## Daphnia Toxicology data

Project Overview

This project investigates the development of toxicity in insect cadavers following infection with the entomopathogenic nematode *Heterorhabditis bacteriophora* and its bacterial symbiont *Photorhabdus luminescens*. The dataset measures toxicity at different stages following infection using an ecotoxicological assay with *Daphnia pulex*.

The data record *Daphnia* mortality across different concentrations of cadaver-derived material and time points after infection, allowing changes in toxicity over the course of infection to be quantified and the effects of concentration and infection stage to be examined.

Data information

The data lists the experimental trial, concentration of toxin (0.05g/L, 0.1g/L and 0.5g/L), infection stage of the waxworm (0 - control, day 3, 5 or 7 post-infection by *Heterorhabditis bacteriophora*), the number of *Daphnia pulex* per trial and then alive after 24 hours and 48 hours.

This data is reformated into a format required for survival analysis where time is 0 (start of the experiment), 24 hours and then 48 hours later. Census is status of the *Daphnia pulex* at the various time points (1, alive and 0, dead).
