Evaluation of a lateral flow test to diagnose liver fluke in cattle and sheep METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: Materials and Methods for collection and generation of data are described in Walsh T et al., Evaluation of a lateral flow test to diagnose liver fluke in cattle and sheep. Sera databases contains details of sera archived by the University of Liverpool as part of Liver fluke research. It also contains details of sera collected as part of this project: A total of 24 farms were visited from August 2021 to January 2022 across Northwest England, North Wales and Western Scotland. All visits were arranged through the farmer’s veterinarian or by the Farmer Network (Cumbria only). Ten sheep were sampled on each farm and for those farms that had cattle, up to ten cattle were sampled as well. In total 240 sheep and 107 cattle were sampled. Group interview transcript was conducted following on farm trials with the lateral flow. Farmers were given a series of questions (supplementary data 7), but allowed to talk around the subjects All supplementary files were generated as part of the submission Methods for processing the data: Thematic data was generated from the transcript using methods described by Braun and Clarke (2006) All other data is raw data Instrument- or software-specific information needed to interpret the data: Any code was run in R (R 4.2.0) using R Studio 2022.07.1+554.
