This data repository entry provides surface pressure measurements, in the form of mean pressure coefficients, for the NATO Generic Destroyer topside geometry (i.e., above the waterline). The experiments were made in a 1.2 × 0.6 × 2.4 m (test section width × height × length) wind tunnel at the School of Engineering, University of Liverpool. A 3D CAD file of the NATO Generic Destroyer geometry (1:50 model-scale) is publicly available and can be found on the Canadian Open Government website (https://search.open.canada.ca/opendata/) by searching 'NATO Generic Destroyer'. The data has been provided in the attached excel workbook. Sheet 1 provides the details of the experiment, such as the test conditions, experimental setup and coefficient definitions; Sheet 2 provides the measurement locations; Sheet 3 provides the measured mean pressure coefficients. The symbols used in the workbook are as follows: C_{p} Mean pressure coefficient L_{oa} Total ship length p Static pressure p_{ref} Reference static pressure (measured in the freestream) q_{ref} Reference dynamic pressure (measured in the freestream) x, y, z Spatial coordinates relative to the bow origin (located at the intersection of the bow and the waterline; positive-x towards the ship stern; positive-y toward the ship starboard; positive-z upwards) Beta Ship yaw angle (wind angle relative to the ship, positive clockwise when viewed from above) delta_{99} Boundary layer thickness based on 99% of the freestream velocity
