This is a collection of files for the thesis titled "A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE INFLUENCE OF DEFENSIVE VENOM SPITTING ON THE COMPOSITION AND FUNCTION OF COBRA VENOMS" and contains the following folders: - Gene trees: A collection of gene tree (.tre) files showing the phylogenetic relationships of cobra venom toxin genes, annotated from snake venom gland tissue. The toxin families have been abbreviated as follows: 3FTXs - three finger toxins, STXs - short neurotoxins, NLPs - neurotoxin-like proteins, LTXs - long neurotoxins, UNKs - unknowns, CTXs - cytotoxins, MTXs - muscarinic toxins, WTXs - weak neurotoxins, CRISP - cysteine-rich secretory proteins, CTL - c-type lectins, Kunitz - serine type protease inhibitors, NGF - nerve growth factor, NP - natiuretic peptide, PLA2 - phospholipase A2, SVMP - snake venom metalloproteinase. - Proteome annotation: A collection of excel spreadsheets that contain the top-down proteomic annotations of cobra venom proteins. - Transcriptome annotation: A collection of excel spreadsheets that annotations of toxins from cobra venom gland tissues, along with alignment notes. As well as the additional file "Data Summary"; an Excel spreadsheet containing a brief summary of data used for statistical analyses.
