This is a quantitative corpus linguistic dataset produced from Carolingian Latin (c. 751-888 AD) advice literature aimed at kings and queens. It was used to add rigour to readings of key terms, such as justice (iustitia) and the public (publicus), supporting the argument of my doctoral thesis, 'Ideal and moral rulership in the Carolingian world'. All data uploaded here is cited or otherwise used in my thesis.
