The following data repository contains raw data produced for the development of a passive nanorheological tool, where gold nanoparticles were used as nanoprobes to characterise localised dynamic rheology at the micro/nanoscale of the different investigated hydrogels through the experimental values of diffusion coefficient. This data is presented in the form of videos, of 100 nm gold nanoparticles (nanoprobes) in different media (simple fluids and hydrogels), recorded using an optical inverted microscopy. Also, bulk rheological characterisation of the investigate media is presented in excel files. - Experimental validation of the nanorheological tool: Videos and bulk rheology data of the Newtonian fluids (glycerol solutions and silicone oil). - Characterisation of localised environments in heterogeneous hydrogels: Videos and bulk rheology data of the agar-hyaluronic acid hydrogels. - Real-time identification of the sol-gel phase transition in thermosensitive hydrogel: Videos and bulk rheology data of Pluronic® F127 at 20% (w/v).
